Programa de intervención educativa para promover conductas asertivas en el adulto mayor

Se realizo un estudio pre-experimental que constituye un Programa de Intervencion Educativa que propone elementos teoricos-metodologicos optimos para promover la asertividad en el adulto mayor. El universo de trabajo correspondio a seis circulos de abuelos del Grupo Basico de Trabajo No.1 del Consejo Popular Indalecio Montejo perteneciente al Area Norte de la Ciudad de Ciego de Avila. Inicialmente se realizo una revision bibliografica exhaustiva que permitio construir los referentes teoricos del programa. Seguidamente se paso a la etapa diagnostica a traves de las tecnicas: Grupo focal y entrevista. Estos elementos permitieron elaborar un programa y proceder a su aplicacion en un periodo de un ano (mayo 2007–mayo 2008). Durante este tiempo se realizaron evaluaciones sistematicas para su perfeccionamiento. Los resultados obtenidos se catalogaron de positivos dada la diferencia significativa del incremento de conductas asertivas, evidentes ante los cambios de actitud del grupo al arribar a la ancianidad y con ello elevar la autoestima del adulto mayor y un menor indice de violencia familiar en este grupo poblacional. La evaluacion final se realizo a partir de tecnicas participativas. Los resultados se ofrecen en por cientos, se presentaron en tablas y se le aplico analisis estadistico CHI cuadrado. (AU) A pre-experimental study was carried out that constitutes an Educative Intervention Program that it proposes theoretical-methodologic elements optimal to promote the assertiveness in elderly persons. The work universe was corresponded to six grandparent’s circle of Work Basic Group (GBT) #1 from Indalecio Montejo popular council of the North Area in Ciego de Avila. Initially an exhaustive bibliographical revision was carried out that allowed to construct the theoretical references of the program. Immediately it was crossed to diagnoses stage through the techniques: Focus group and interview. These elements allowed toelaborate a program and behavior to its application in a period of a year (May 2007-May 2008). During this time systematic evaluations for their improvement were done. The obtained results were positive given the significant difference of the assertive conduct increase, evident before the attitude changes of the group when arriving at the old age and to elevate the self-esteem of the greater adult and a low rate of familiar violence in this population group. The final evaluation was carried out from participative techniques. The results are offered in percents, they were appeared in tables and statistical analysis CHI- squared was applied. (AU)
