Powder metallurgy in Canada

1992
This paper reviews the current status of the various segments of the Canadian powder metallurgy industry : production of ferrous and non-ferrous powders, parts manufacturing, and specialty products and processes. Since the last review published in 1992, the production capacity of the metal powder producers has been increased significantly, thus positioning Canada as one of the leading countries for the manufacturing of iron, steel and nickel powders. There have also been significant advances in powder metallurgy parts manufacturing over the last four years. The industry is supported by active R & D programs conducted in the various sectors of the industry as well as in universities and government agencies.
