Prospects of discrete macromodels usage for calculation of electric power systems modes

The paper is devoted to discussion of modern software tools usage for calculation of electric power systems transients with components described by discrete macromodels in the form of state variables. Possible ways of their improving are defined in order to accelerate the process of their calculation and ensure their reliability.
