„Entrepreneurial Orientation“: Eine Bestandsaufnahme der Konstruktschärfe

2016
Entrepreneurial orientation (EO) has become a focal construct within management and entrepreneurship research. Despite the construct’s popularity, debates have emerged concerning its construct clarity. In general, these debates refer to the construct’s conceptualization and operationalization comprising issues such as the construct’s dimensionality, the appropriateness of its dimensions, its operationalization with a mixture of attitudinal and behavioral items, and the conceptualization of EO as a reflective or formative construct. With the aim to support researchers to gain a better understanding of EO, we developed recommendations throughout our review based on the criteria for construct clarity. These recommendations contribute to future research on EO by providing a basis for a consistent conceptualization.
