Design tools for multiobjective H-infinity control

1997
Control problems with multiple frequency domain specifications are considered in this paper. Such problems arise in many practical situations and can be formulated as an T-Loo problem with multiple objectives. At present, a complete theoretical or numerical solution is not known to problems of this type except in some special cases. We define related optimization problems that require iterating between weight selection and standard Hoc, synthesis. The iterative procedure is convex and suboptimal solutions to the multiple objective problem can be generated efficiently. Our approach is illustrated with some generic examples. Comparisons with other design tools such as QDES and 7-iteration indicate that our methods are better.
