NonIsolated DC-DC Quadratic Ćuk Converter for Wide Conversion Range Applications

A nonisolated dc-dc converter for applications that demand wide conversion range is proposed in this work. Using the integration technique known as graft scheme, it is possible to design a single-switch quadratic Cuk converter, whose input current and output stage current present reduced ripple, resulting in minimized electromagnetic interference (EMI) levels. The topology is able to operate in step-up or step-down mode depending on the value assumed by the duty cycle. The qualitative and quantitative analyses in continuous conduction mode (CCM) are presented in detail, from which it is possible to design and analyze the converter. Simulation results are presented and discussed in to validate the theoretical assumptions.
