RFLP Standardization Report for DP Alpha/BamHI

1989
The DP alpha/Bgl II system identified five fragments on the core cell lines (Table 1). Table 2 indicates the distribution of standardized bands in core cell lines. According to previous HLA typing, at least 10 cells were not homozygous for HLA-DP. Moreover HLA-DP typing was incomplete for 21 cells (- or not tested). No specific fragment for DPw specificities can be observed. However, some different specific patterns of bands can be observed: fragments no. 1 and no. 4 are present for DPw1; nos. 1 and 5 for Dpw2; nos 1 and 3 for DPw5; and fragments no. 2 and no. 5 are present for DPw3 and DPw4. Correlations between these patterns of fragments and DPw specificities are not very good, as we obsemed a lot of exceptions. The “new” DPw specificity of cell no.9056 seems to be positive for fragment no. 4 as DPw1.
