Xeroradiographic observations of coronary arterial distribution in domestic ponies

1980
Abstract The technique of xeroradiography was used to examine coronary arterial distribution in barium sulfate-gelatin-perfused domestic pony hearts. Similarity to human coronary distribution was observed with regard to consistent right coronary predominance and the presence of a subendocardial plexus of collateral vessels. Xeroradiography provided superior presentation of both perfused vessels and nonperfused soft tissue structures, as compared to conventional radiography.
