County Firefighters Battle Flames in Needles

Summary: At approximately 4 A.M. San Bernardino County Fire received numerous reports of a house on fire in the 2100 block of El Monte St. in the City of Needles. County Fire arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and found an approximate 1400 sq. ft. single story home well involved in flames. County Firefighters also reported that neighboring homes were threatened by fire. Firefighters initiated an aggressive exterior attack and prevented further fire spread to neighboring homes. The construction features of lightweight trusses and falling roof tiles hindered firefighters during the attack.
