Гистофизиология семенников сизого голубя (Columba livia), обитающего в санитарно-защитной зоне Оренбургского газоперерабатывающего завода (СЗЗ ОГПЗ), в условиях зимнего сезона

2014
The testes of rock-doves (Columbia livia) inhabiting the sanitary-protected zone of the Orenburg gas-processing plant, under the conditions of winter season, have been examined, using the histological, histochemical and morphometric methods. The factors of morphofunctional disturbances in the curved testis ductuli have been revealed in the testes of rock-doves inhabiting the sanitary-protected zone of the gas-processing plant, this being indicative of unfavorable impact of the complex of technogenic factors on histology of the spermatogenic epithelium of rock-doves’ male gonads. The activity of Leidig cells in dove testes observed points to a higher sustainability of interstitial endocrinocytes of doves’ testes to negative impacts and this is indicative of adaptive reconstructions in the population of interstitial endocrynocytes in response to unfavorable factors of environment. Similar adaptive reconstructions allow the dove populations to persist for long periods of time in ecosystems exposed to constant impacts of industrial pollutions.
