56/112Gbps Wireline Transceivers for Next Generation Data Centers on 7nm FINFET CMOS Technology

DSP Based Transceivers are becoming ubiquitous in modern hyper scale data centers to equalize excessive channel loss. 56G and 112G serdes in 7nm have shown competitive power and area to analog transceivers, with superior performance. This work shows examples of critical analog circuits and blocks that enable DSP based transceivers in receivers, transmitters, and clocking.
