Synthesis method of 4,4'-thiobisbenzenethiol

The present invention discloses a method for synthesizing 4,4-dimercapto-diphenyl sulfide to thiophenol as starting materials, comprising the following steps: 1) Esterification: acetic anhydride was added dropwise in the reacting thiophenol and layered; 2) etherification: adding a solvent, iodine and sulfur dichloride in the step 1) in the resulting organic layer was ⅰ reaction, then separated; the organic layer after removal of the solvent under reduced pressure ⅱ, a yellow solid; 3) hydrolysis: sodium hydroxide in water and a yellow solid warmed to reflux was added dropwise a solution of hydrochloric acid, filtered to give a white solid; 4) recrystallization: the white solid was recrystallized from a recrystallization solvent, to give white crystals of 4,4-dimercapto-diphenyl sulfide. The synthesis method using 4,4-dimercapto-diphenyl sulfide, having a simple process, high yield characteristics.
