Valve drive for internal combustion engines with variable camshaft

2011
The invention relates to a valve gear for internal combustion engines with variable cam shaft and axially split, arranged on the camshaft cam, with a drag lever, which acts with its one end on a gas exchange valve of the internal combustion engine and is supported with its other end via a bearing on a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine wherein the axially split cam actuates the cam follower such that it carries out swivel movements around the support, and a guide element is provided for the cam followers. While it is an object of the invention to provide a device for guiding a cam follower in valve trains of internal combustion engines with variable cam shaft and axially split cam, the tilting moments which occur of the cam effectively absorbed with the in an unbalanced force transmission between the cam and cam follower and a uniform Hertzian pressure ensures can be such that premature wear or component failure can be counteracted, this is achieved in that (a precisely fitting guide member (13) for the drag lever (18) for guiding the pivoting movements of the cam follower on or in the cylinder head (1) of the internal combustion engine 18 ) is provided in one plane.
