Advance in chicken coccidiosis vaccine and its adjuvant.

Chicken coccidiosis remains one of the most important diseases in the poultry industry and results in the annual loss of billions of US dollars. Chemotherapy is the main means for controlling coccidiosis now. With the development of the drug-resistant strains as well as the formation of green food concept,a better control method is expected. Study on coccidiosis vaccines and concurrent adjuvants for chicken has become one highlight for many veterinarians. This paper summarized the development of chicken coccidiosis vaccine and concurrent adjuvant,including the development and application of nucleic acid vaccine,subunit vaccine and common commercial vaccine,as well as the research progress of adjuvants.
