Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is produced in many countries in the tropical, semitropical and arid regions of the world. It grows well in many different environments; is naturally drought tolerant; and is versatile as a food, feed and fuel (Food and Agriculture Organization, 1995).
