Research on low-profile millimeter wave phased array antenna for SAR

In order to meet the requirement of SAR, a low profile 64-cell millimeter wave phased array antenna is developed, which is integrated of antenna array, feed network, power network and wave control network in a multi-function antenna board. The transceiver channel is integrated in a multi-function transceiver chip, which simplifies the topology of the transceiver link of phased array antenna. The size of the phased array antenna is $130\text{mm}\times 80\text{mm}\times 45\text{mm}$ , which can meet the requirements of light weight and modularization. Measurement shows that millimeter wave phased array antenna has a scan range of more than ± 45 degrees, the emission of EIRP is greater than 51dBm, and the cross-polarization performance is better than 30dBc. The 64-cell millimeter wave phased array antenna can meet the needs of low-profile SAR.
