THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL TO WORK ENGAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR

This study analyzes the influence of personality fa ctor to work behavior. In this paper, work behavior consists of 2 variables: (1) work engageme nt and (2) organizational citizenship behavior. Meanwhile, psychological capital has 4 components: (1) self efficacy, (2) hope, (3) optimism and (4) resilience. This research would like to assess the impact of psychological capital on work engagement and organizational citizenship behavior variables. Furt hermore, this paper would like to determine the mos t influential variable. .. This research used a surve y with a self report questionnaires data gathering method which is processed statistically with ANOVA and reg ression techniques to test the hypothesis. The res ults showed that psychological capital affects work enga gement and organizational citizenship behavior. The prevalence of organizational citizenship behavior i s slightly larger than work engagement. The results of this study indicates that psychological capital has a cr ucial role in developing work habits, both for duti es implementation related and organization.
