Hybrid CdSe–dendron nanoparticle and polymer blend knodels at the interface

The interesting interfacial behavior of hybrid CdSe–dendron nanoparticles and poly(9-vinylcarbazole) blends at the air–water interface is reported. Surface pressure–area isotherms, compression–expansion cycles, and isobaric creep measurements were made along with Langmuir–Schaefer (LS) deposition. The blends resulted in better nanoparticle polydispersity and “knodel” formation as verified by AFM and PM-IRRAS.
