A Microgrid System with Multiple Island Detection Strategies

This paper analyzes the composition and typical operating states of the microgrid in detail, especially the important position of the microgrid controller in the control and detection of the microgrid system. Through the analysis of unplanned off-grid switching, the importance of island detection to the stability of the microgrid system is clarified. In this paper, combined with the role of the microgrid controller in the microgrid system, a multiple island detection method consisting of a microgrid controller, PCS (Power Conversion System), photovoltaic inverter etc. is proposed, which effectively avoids the problems of long detection time and detection blind zone in the single island detection mode, and further analyzes the implementation mode of the island detection mode.
