COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, ENTREPRENEURIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES IN TOURISM SECTORS IN THE PROVINCE OF BANTEN, INDONESIA

The objective of this study is to produce a model of community development in relation to entrepreneurial opportunities for small and medium enterprises in tourism sectors generally,basically this study is to evaluatewhether dependent variable is directly or indirectly influence the outcomes through the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of the entrepreneurs. This research is conducted by using quantitative method so as to provide empirical generalization, set objectives, concepts, proving the theory, and to develop a theory. This research subject of 400 entrepreneurs spread over three districts using proportional stratified random sampling technique. Research data was obtained by using questionnairewith a rating scale of 1-5 on the subject matters. This research has shown that there is a direct influence of community development as far as entrepreneurial opportunities are concerned, but if viewed from the indirect influence of the knowledge, attitude and behavior of entrepreneurs on collaboration, substitute products, and the acquisition pose a significant effect, while the promotion and sustainable development have no significant effect on entrepreneurial opportunities in the tourism community development.
