Anisotropic Semi Vortices in Spinor Dipolar Bose Einstein Condensates Induced by Mixture of Rashba Dresselhaus Coupling

2018
The unitary Rashba or Dresselhaus spin orbit (SO) coupling can arrest the collapse of matter wave solitons in spinor Bose Einstein condensates (BECs) in two dimensional (2D) free space. In contrast their mixture, Rashba Dresselhaus (RD) mixture, may weaken the stability of solitons created by one of them. It has been previously revealed that matter wave solitons with a cubic attractive contact nonlinearity are delocalized when the mixing degree of the RD mixture exceeds a critical number. In this work, we suppress the instability caused by the RD mixture by means of long range anisotropic attractive dipole–dipole interactions. The matter wave solitons constructed in spinor dipolar BECs can be stabilized for any mixing degree of the RD mixture. Moreover, we find that anisotropic vortex solitons (AVSs), which are supported in the vortical component of the composite soliton, can be effectively controlled in the diagonal direction in the \((x,y)\) plane via the mixing degree of the RD mixture. The characteris...
