Meniscal and Ligamentous Injuries of the Knee

2018
Meniscal and ligamentous injuries of the knee are common in patients of all ages or demographics. Many patients seek initial care after a knee injury from their primary care physician; thus, knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries affecting the knee is important. The clinical presentation, physical examination, treatment modalities, and outcomes for meniscal and ligamentous pathology such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries are discussed in the following chapter.
