The present invention relates to the technical field of mobile communications. Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a method and device for data transmission on an unlicensed frequency band. The method comprises: determining an initial position of data to be transmitted in a radio frame on an unlicensed frequency band; determining position indication information according to the initial position; transmitting the position indication information such that a terminal determines according to the position indication information the initial position of the data to be transmitted in the radio frame on the unlicensed band.
