Studies on the Thermal Decomposition and Non-isothermal Kinetic of Cerium Oxalate

2005
The thermal decomposition of cerium oxalate decahydrate(Ce_2(C_2O_4) ·10H_2O) was studied by thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis. Five steps were expected to take place during the thermal decomposition of cerium oxalate decahydrate. At some time, the identification of the function depending on the mechanism was suggested. The experimental results and theoretical analysis show that the thermal decomposition of cerium oxalate is dominated by a f2 mechanism, the activation energy E=283.55kJ·mol~(-1),the frequency factor lnA=57.3119.
