Solids self priming pumps
2009
PURPOSE: A solid self-priming pump is provided to remove sludge from a pump casing without disassembling the pump casing or using a separate cutting device. CONSTITUTION: A solid self-priming pump comprises a casing(310), an inlet(311), an outlet(314), a sludge removal cover(312), and a cover support(313). The inlet through which a fluid including sludge enters is formed on the upper part of the casing. The outlet through which the sludge is discharged to the outside is formed in the upper part of the casing and is separate from the inlet. The sludge removal cover is coupled with the inner portion of the casing and has a high possibility to accumulate sludge. The cover support presses the sludge removal cover to the casing. In the casing, apparatuses for discharging the sludge entering through the inlet to outside are installed.
