Treatment of acetabular fractures with open reduction andinternal fixation

2003
Objectives To study the methods and effects of open reduction and internal fixation of acetabular fracture. Methods 29 cases were enrolled according to Letournel's classification; anterior parietal fracture in 2 cases, anterior column fractures in 5cases, anterior parietal and column fractures in 3 cases, posterior parietal fractures in 6 cases, posterior column fractures in 3 cases, posterior parietal and column fractures in 3 cases, transverse fractures in 2 cases, transverse and posterior parietal fractures in 2 eases, and doublecolumn fractures in 3 cases. Ilioin guinal incision was used in 12 cases, Kocher-Langenbeckincision in 14 cases, and prolonged ilio-inguinal in 3 cses. Pelvic reconstructive steel plate wasused in 24 cases, and screw in 5 cases. Results According to Matta's standard;anatomical reduction: 17 cases;satisfactory reduction;9 cases; unsatisfactory reduction: 3 cases. Conclusion Operations are chosen according to acetabularfractures types, which can make fracture resetting satisfying, internal fixation reliable and the function of joint regain after operation.
