Electroacupuncture and arrhythmia caused by reperfusion of the coronary arteries in rabbits and rats in hypothermia

1988
Abstract Reperfusion-induced arrhythmias in rats and rabbits are highly temperature-dependent. When the rectal temperature of experimental animals was low, the effects of electroacupuncture at Jian Xi on reperfusion-induced arrhythmias could be observed. The arrhythmias shortened in rabbits, and more ventricular extrasystoles following reperfusion were seen in rats. It is suggested that electroacupuncture at Jian Xi can exert significant influence on reperfusion-induced arrhythmias.
