This chapter describes a case study of one Gaelic group, the Mackintoshes and Clan Chattan Confederation and explores the impact of Scottish government policy on it. It shows the attitude of the government to the clan and the methods employed by the clan themselves in a bid to advance integration into wider Scottish society.
