Rehabilitation brace for postoperative tendo-achilles lengthening

2014
The utility model discloses a rehabilitation brace for postoperative tendo-achilles lengthening. The rehabilitation brace comprises two adjustable support rods parallelly arranged inside and outside of an Achilles's tendon, an adjustable pulling rod ahead of a calf, an annular piece and a foot sleeve. The annular piece and the foot sleeve are used for fixedly connecting with the support rods and the pulling rod. The annular piece is a split ring hooped on the calf. The two support rods are respectively arranged at opening ends of the annular piece and include far ends arranged at two sides of the Achilles's tendon of a heel portion of the foot sleeve. A support rod ahead of the calf is arranged ahead of the annular piece and includes a far end arranged at a toe portion of the foot sleeve. The pulling rod ahead of the calf tightens up the toe so that an ankle joint is kept at a 10-degree dorsal-stretching position. The lower end of the calf is prevented from moving forward in such a manner that the annular piece at the heel portion is used for fixedly connecting the lower end of the calf with the support rods at two sides of the Achilles's tendon. The rehabilitation brace for postoperative tendo-achilles lengthening has following beneficial effects: the rehabilitation brace is suitable for fixation of people with different widths of Achilles's tendons and heights and is wearable for a long time after operation till patients fully recover from illnesses.
