Fourth-order dispersion compensation using a periodically polled LiNbO/sub 3/ optical phase conjugator

We demonstrate transmission of ultra-short pulse as short as 250 fs over 66 km by midway optical phase conjugation using a periodically polled LiNbO/sub 3/ waveguide. The transmitted pulses suffer negligible distortion in temporal waveforms.
