Comparisons of properties of hadronic Z0 decays with QCD shower models
2008
Various QCD shower models based on different shower approaches and hadronisation schemes that all well describe the global event shapes of hadronic Z0 decays are compared with measurements of final state photon emission and two particle azimuthal correlations. The JETSET model underestimates the cross section for final state photon radiations, whereas ARIADNE and HERWIG can reproduce it within the current statistics. Models containing angular ordering in their shower phase significantly better describe the measured two particle azimuthal correlations than those with incoherent parton showers.
