ON APPROXIMATION OF FIXED POINTS OF ASYMPTOTICALLY DEMICONTRACTIVE

In this paper necessary and sufficient conditions for the strong convergence of the modified three-step iteration process mainly due to Cho et al. (6) to a fixed point of an asymptotically demicontractive mapping in real Banach spaces are considered. Presented results improve and extend the results of Igbokwe (7), Liu (8), Moore and Nnoli (11) and Osilike (12) .
