Alkanes and cycloalkanes in the one-pot synthesis of amides

Alkanes (or cycloalkanes) and CO in the presence of the superelectrophilic systems CX 4 ·2AlBr 3 (X = Cl, Br) have been used for the first time in the selective synthesis of amides from amines.
