Support worker regulation: the NNRU report explained

2010
Regulation is a subject over which diverse and strongly held views exist. Is is an issue in which many organizations (trade unions, regulatory bodies, employers and government) have interests, as do members of the healthcare workforce itself. Given concerns about public safety and the diversity of views over regulation, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), commissioned the National Nursing Research Unit (NNRU) of King's College London to undertake a scoping review of the subject (Griffiths and Robinson 2010). This article looks at this review.
