Computer-Based Job Aiding: Problem Solving at Work.

1984
Abstract : This research is part of an ongoing effort to understand the processes people employ in reading technical material and the ways in which computer based job aids can assist people in doing complex tasks. The central questions were 'Where people have easy access to many kinds of information what information do they select to help them do the job? How do people vary? How does information selection differ across sites in the text and graphics?' This report provides a description of the final work in this area.
