Device for producing double packages

The machine makes special cigarette double-packs, i.e. they have two compartments (10, 11), each containing cigarettes, hinged together under a common lid. Each compartment is made on parallel lines of the same machine. The compartments, or their contents and packaging material, are conveyed synchronously for simultaneous package completion. Lying adjacently, the compartments are moved transversely together and fed to a common folder unit, especially a rotary folder (91), where the outer blank is fitted on.
