Aplicación de un juego de mesa para enseñar conceptos de nutrición y actividad física a niños de escuela primaria y secundaria

Educational games are alternatives to promote healthy habits especially in school children. e objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of the game Armando A. Nutricio to teach concepts of food and physical activity. A sample of elementary and high school students from the City of Reynosa, Tamaulipas was selected. Using a questionnaire of general knowledge before and after the application of the game. In elementary students, the following score was obtained: before the game 9.36 ± 4.33 and at the end 10.9 ± 4.96 (p < 0.01) and high school students: before 13.53 ± 3.79 and at the end 14.85 ± 4.32 (p < 0.01) from 15 questions on nutrition and physical activity. In conclusion, the game Armando A. Nutricio is considered a useful tool to gain knowledgeabout healthy habits.
