Three-Hump Curve of Laser X-Ray Emission vs. Varied Focusing Conditions

2006
Three‐hump curve of laser x‐ray emission in dependence on the target‐lens distance has been found at irradiating a Cu target with 240‐J, 0.4‐ns laser pulses. This type of dependence is explained as a result of superposition of “soft” and “hard” components coming from two different mechanisms of radiation production.
