Stable gel formulations with an increased electrolyte content

2004
The invention relates to compositions in gel form which contain an increased content of electrolyte and the use thereof as carrier media for oxidative coloring agent. The gel compositions containing - 6,0 to 15 wt .-% of a saturated and unsaturated, linear or branched alcohol having 8 to 36 carbon atoms, - 0,1 to 15 wt .-% of a liquid fatty acid having 16 to 22 carbon atoms in the form of a water-soluble soap, - 0,5 to 10 wt .-% of an adduct of 1 to 5 mol ethylene oxide with a linear fatty alcohol having 8 to 22 C atoms, - 0,5 to 10 wt .-% of an adduct of 15 to 50 moles of ethylene oxide on a linear fatty alcohol having 8 to 22 carbon atoms and - 0 to 20 wt .-% of a low molecular water-soluble alcohol and - not less than 12 mmol of an electrolyte, based on 100 g of the gel composition, characterized by excellent application properties and improved storage stability.
