Glycolytic enzymes: From hexose to pyruvate

1992
Abstract The structures of all of the glycolytic enzymes are now known, although not all have been extended to the highest possible resolution. The amino acid side chains that form the active-site clefts have been defined and the general, if not the detailed, mode of action of each enzyme is now understood. Efforts are being made to extend this work by studying activity and, where relevant, regulation using site-directed mutagenesis.
