Training and Practice in Military Specialty Psychology

2017
Military psychology is a dynamic field that requires highly skilled providers to meet ever-changing mission demands. After pre-doctoral and residency training, military psychologists are eligible for specialty training in fellowships. The United States Air Force, Army, and Navy are committed to training psychologists in specialized clinical practice areas to ensure their capability to respond to the worldwide need for a wide-range of services for service-members, retirees, and family members. The specialty-specific approaches to training, clinical practice settings, and contributions in clinical health, neuropsychology, and forensic psychology are subsequently discussed.
