La encuesta de nutrición de la CAPV

In this paper a retrospective view of the first steps in the design and plannification stages of the Nutrition Survey of the Basque Country in 1987-1988 is presented. The impact and main contributions of this study are highlighted. This has been and still is a reference model for similar studies carried out in later years in different Autonomous Regions. The relevance of the enKid study is reflected as well. This study was carried out on a random sample of the State population aged 2-24 years, with a representation for the Basque Country.
