Hydraulic control device for drive force distribution device

A hydraulic control device (60) for a drive force distribution device, provided with a hydraulic circuit (30) configured from: an oil pump (35) for supplying operating oil to the piston chamber (15) of the clutch (drive force distribution device)(10); an on-off valve (43) disposed in the oil path (49) between a check valve (39) and the piston chamber (15); and an accumulator (18) communicating with the piston chamber (15). When pressurizing the piston chamber (15), control is performed so that hydraulic pressure within the piston chamber (15) is a target hydraulic pressure, the control being performed on the basis of first characteristics obtained by driving the oil pump (35) with the on-off valve (43) closed. When depressurizing the piston chamber (15), control is performed so that hydraulic pressure within the piston chamber (15) is a target hydraulic pressure, the control being performed on the basis of second characteristics which is obtained by prohibiting the drive of the oil pump (35) and opening the on-off valve (43). The configuration reduces the frequency of operation of the oil pump and improves the torque accuracy of the clutch.
