Device For Electric Drives Torque Diagnostics And Its Characteristics Study

2020
The article is purposed to the development of a torque diagnostical device (TDD) designed to determine and rectify the configuration of power valves’ electric drive limit coupling setting for ultimate force. The possibility of promptly adjusting the coupling maximum torque basic settings to limit the electric drive torque according to the technical (passport) data in the repair shops of nuclear power plants is considered; such adjustment will improve the accuracy of the equipment settings and reduce the time of scheduled repair work. Settings refinement experimentally with a step-by-step increase in torque within the electric drive control showed overestimated values of the torques arising in the power valves from the side of electric drive, in contrast to the limit torque coupling manual setting with a torque wrench (static method). With an increase in electric drives power, the overestimated values of torques arising in power valves can involve the working elements damage. Such devices use during the post-repair adjustment of electric drives’ power valves allow the subsequent operation of the systems reducing the undesirable loads that occur in power fittings on the drive side, ensuring trouble-free and reliable operation of the pipeline systems of power plants of nuclear power plants.
