HUBUNGAN LINGKAR PINGGANG DENGAN DISLIPIDEMIA PADA REMAJA LATE ADOLESCENCE

Background: Dyslipidemia is a disorder of lipid metabolism due to dietary factors and is a risk of cardiovascular disease. Excess waist circumference causes the risk of abdominal obesity in older people and teenagers. Objective: Knowing the relationship of waist circumference and dyslipidemia of Late Adolescence male and female students in medical faculty University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Methods: Analytical observation used Cross Sectional design. Samples used 62 people divided into 2 groups, male and female. Data included body weight, body height, BMI (Body Mass Index), waist circumference,. Obtained data were analyzed using analytical technique Chi Square test (if eligible), Fisher test (if uneligible) Result and Discussion: The results of the Fisher test for waist circumference with dyslipidemia in male men showed a significance of p = 0.054, and for waist circumference with dyslipidia in women showed a significant p = 0.066, so there was no relationship of waist circumference and dyslipidemia of Late Adolescence male and female students in Medical Faculty University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Conclusion: There is no relationship of waist circumference and Dyslipidemia of Late Adolescence male and female students in Medical Faculty University of Muhammadiyah Malang.
