Synthesis and Characterization of Some New Derivatives of Triazololpyrimidine

A series of new 2-(Alkylthio)-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines and 3-(Alkythio)-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidines were synthesized.All compounds were characterized by IR,()~1H NMR spectra.Instead of original alkylation procedure, we used phase transfer reaction in ether-aqueous sodium hydroxide with benzyltrimethylammonium bromide at room temperature, and thereby purer products and higher yield were obtained.
