Storage concept for a segment motor

The invention relates to an electrical machine having - a machine frame, - having an input coupled to the machine frame stator (1), the first means for generating a magnetic field, - a shaft (3) and - connected to one to the shaft (3) and with the stator (1) magnetically interacting rotor (4) via an air gap (5) of the stator (1) is spaced apart, wherein the air gap is arranged such that the magnetic field is directed within the air gap substantially parallel to the shaft axis during operation of the electrical machine. In order to simplify the construction of such a machine, this includes further - a between the rotor (4) and the stator (1) arranged axial bearing (6) for receiving between the stator (1) and rotor (4) acting in the direction of the shaft axis attractive forces, - a resilient coupling means for mechanical coupling of the stator (1) to the machine frame, wherein the coupling means for a force acting in the direction of the shaft axis force a lower stiffness than the axial bearing (6) and is designed such that by one (on the rotor 4 ) force acting in said direction of translation of the stator (1) relative to the machine frame in the direction of the shaft axis can be effected.
