Dynamic and Stability Analysis for MTDC System in DC Voltage Control Timescale

For better investigating and understanding the physical meaning and dynamic characteristic of multi-terminal DC system in DC voltage control timescale (around 0.1s ), a physical fundament model with a parallel circuit structure of generic resistors, inductors and capacitors is proposed in this paper. Based on this model, a reduced second-order characteristic equation is obtained, which can provide intuitive and clear insight into damping and oscillation frequency with the system and control parameters. Theoretical analysis and detailed simulation results verifies the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed model.
