Developing hydrothermal fabrication and energy storage applications for MTeMoO6 (M=Zn, Mg, Mn)

2021
Abstract Multiple component molybdate tellurite compounds MTeMoO6 (M=Zn, Mg, Mn) particles are hydrothermally fabricated using all solid state reactants through a supercritical water process with the condition of 2 h and 380 °C. Homogeneous particle morphologies of MTeMoO6 (M=Zn, Mg, Mn) polycrystalline are achieved. Furthermore, the electrochemical performance of MTeMoO6 applied in the energy storage field is reported in detail. When employed as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, the ZnTeMoO6 prepared in the supercritical hydrothermal system delivers stable discharge capacity of 261.8 mAh g-1 at a current density of 100 mA g-1 after 100 cycles. This work might provide strong references for the extensive applications of a large number of novel multi-component metal oxide compounds in new energy field.
