La formación continua en España: Contexto, significación, evaluación e impacto de los primeros acuerdos

In this article we present the economical, labor and bussiness background in spain when the first agreements on workers`training were reached at the end of 1992 between the most representative employers and union organizations. Moreover, a brief picture about the spanish situation of training for workers in companies during 1993 is offered. During this year the implementation of the programs from the agrements was starting. The content of the agreement and their implications for the development of the continuous training and education in spain is also considered. In turn, we analyze the relationships among the programs developed under the agreement and those developed under the european social funds also oriented to promote a strategic role of continuous training for workers. Finally, the evaluation of the achievemenents in continuous education and training during 1993-1996 as a result of the agreements as well as its potential improvements is presented.
